These elements may be barcode, QR code, magnetic stripe or simply a unique number printed or embossed on the card. These elements contain information identifying the card and its owner, which is then read when the card is presented. It is worth mentioning that the magnetic strip can also be made in exclusive colors – gold or silver.
• Security elements. VIP cards offer access to limited, often expensive services or benefits, so it is worth protecting them against unauthorized use or even counterfeiting. Such security may include, for example, microprinting – small text visible only through a magnifying glass, or guilloche – a pattern that is difficult to forge, consisting of intricate curves in complex combinations. Another popular method of securing cards is printing ‘invisible’ characters UV printing, visible only under ultraviolet light, or sticking on a card a hologram.
