Plastic Club/Membership Cards
Plastic club or membership cards are used by organizations to provide special benefits and privileges to their members. These cards serve as proof of membership and provide access to selected services, discounts, or events of the organization. They are durable, have a standard, comfortable shape, and can contain personalized information such as the member’s name and unique ID number.
Club/membership cards – basic elements
Thanks to today’s advanced plastic card printing capabilities, club and membership cards can be equipped with a wide range of different prints and solutions, depending on the needs of the organization.
The basic function that a membership card most often has to fulfill is to identify the person who uses it. For this purpose, personalized elements are printed on the card, which assigns the card to a member of the organization. Personalization elements may be name, surname, photo, card number, unique data encoded in a magnetic stripe, barcode, QR code, or even in an RFID or NFC module.
These elements can be selected according to your needs and budget. In the simplest version, you can order a standard card with a print of your club’s graphics and a signature strip. Such a card you can later use for individual personalization – entering the card number and/or the member’s name and surname when issuing the card.

Club cards – selection of functions and finishing options
Plastic membership cards can be printed with a variety of options and features to enhance their functionality, appearance, and user experience.
- The mentioned signature strip is a special paint on which sssssyou can write with a pen or marker. Such a strip is necessary because permanent signatures cannot be placed on a plastic card, even with a marker.
- Personalization by printing or embossing data. Personalization can be done in the so-called flat, i.e., normal printing of a number, name, and surname on the card. Or you can make it in an exclusive version by embossing this data on the card, thanks to which the prints will look like those found on credit cards.
- Functional prints. You can print elements on the card that will encode much more information than just a number or name. The popular QR code is very simple to print, from a printing point of view, but it can encode a relatively quite a lot of information. These may include, for example, the address of a website intended only for members of the organization, access code, contact details, etc.
- Decorative prints. Prestigious organizations and clubs can and should be represented by equally prestigious-looking cards. The above-mentioned embossed personalization elements, metallic or glitter background, logos or inscriptions made with convex selective varnish, matte laminate, etc. Thanks to such prints, the cards take on an exceptionally elegant look.
How to prepare a draft membership card?
The graphic design of the card should be made in the 89×57 mm format. After cutting off the so-called bleeds and rounded corners, the club card will ultimately have the shape and dimensions of an ATM card – 86 x 54 mm.
If your card requires personalization, please select blank spaces on the design where the data will be printed and send us a database with the data. The database should be prepared in a spreadsheet, and its columns should be described in accordance with the preview, e.g., name, surname, date of joining the club, card expiration date, card number, etc.
