Plastic senior cards

The senior card allows people of retirement age to benefit from a system of discounts, reliefs and other benefits specified by local governments, as well as some service establishments.

As in the case of the large family cards, senior cards are issued by local governments, e.g. city, commune, or voivodeship offices. However, they are aimed at people over 60 years of age. In addition, many companies, such as large-format stores, issue their own discount cards dedicated to seniors.

A plastic card for seniors looks similar to a credit card. Its format is 86×54 mm, its thickness is 0.76 mm, and it has standard rounded corners. The senior card usually has simple graphics and typical additional options, such as a special place for entering data manually.

In the basic version, the specification of a plastic senior card may look like this:

• material: white PVC (or other colors),
• format: 86×54 mm (CR-80), rounded corners (or other formats),
• thickness: 0.76 mm (760 microns),
• offset printing, full color CMYK (or black and white),
• barcode, QR code, magnetic stripe or RFID tag.

Senior cards – personalization options

In most cases, the senior card is valid only with a document confirming identity. Therefore, the cards should be printed with the card holder’s personal data and such personalization can be done in three ways:

• Cards for individual personalization
  An interesting solution for the production of senior cards is to order cards with an attractive graphic print, but the cards can be personalized on your own, using your card printer. Our cards are suitable for personalization in thermal transfer card printers such as Evolis, Zebra, Datacard. On the ordered cards, just leave blank fields in the design to print names, surnames and card numbers later.
• Cards with printed data.
  Of course, we can personalize it during card production. In this case, along with the properly prepared project, you should also send personalization data – name, surname, card number, etc.
• Cards with any combination of elements.
  Thanks to modern printing techniques, cards can be made with almost any combination of selected elements. You can therefore order cards with high-quality, double-sided, color printing, a unique barcode on each card, an additional QR code, and a signature strip – one or more stripes of different sizes. Additionally, the card may have a built-in RFID tag that is appropriately matched to your system. Such a card will be visually attractive, while fulfilling many functions – both for the local government and for seniors.
